Abstract

Abstract The age of digital technology has completely changed our life. Education system around the world are under increasing pressure to use the new Information and Communication Technologies ICT to teach students the knowledge and skills they need in the 21st century. This paper therefore, dwelt on the meaning of ICT, benefits of ICT in teaching and learning which include support conventional classroom work among others and challenges of ICT which include limited technology infrastructure, technophobia, etc. The paper suggests provision of adequate infrastructure, provision of alternative source of electricity and trained manpower.etc.
